Senior Scientist, Statistical Consultant
Responsibilities:
Apply advanced statistical techniques to identify patterns and generate insights in various state-of-the-art super-alloy systems and coatings.
Design, develop, and evaluate experimental models to optimize success in multifactorial experiments.
Provide guidance and support to Advanced Research Engineers on multifactorial design, statistical analysis, and modeling.
Collaborate closely with the company's team of scientists and technologists, reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Perform advanced analysis on real-world and laboratory data to design new experiments and enhance existing methods.
Utilize statistical software.
Minimum Requirements:
Maxterial seeks an experienced part-time, on-demand Statistics Consultant with the following qualifications
Demonstrated expertise and skills in advanced statistical theory and application, particularly in multifactorial design experiments.
A Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Engineering, or related fields, with a minimum of 4 years of industry experience in experiment design and statistical analysis. Preferred candidates hold a PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar field of study.
Highly developed problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking skills.
Strong ability to communicate abstract concepts effectively.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

What is a plus?
Experience working with chemical engineers, materials scientists, or other professionals in the chemical industry is desirable.
Job Type:
Work will be remote via telework, and assignments will be ad-hoc, based on statistical needs throughout the company.
